Biopsies

A biopsy is a small tissue sample that is taken for analysis to determine the biological makeup of the tissue as well as its health.  Biopsies are often used to identify the underlying cause of various symptoms.  In this procedure, a local anesthetic will be applied, and the radiologist will use a advanced imaging tool to pinpoint where to take the sample from.  Once the sample is collected, it is sent to a pathologist for analysis.  Once you are finished with the procedure, you can continue on with your usual routine.
