CT Virtual Colonoscopy

CT Virtual Colonoscopy is a relatively new diagnostic procedure that provides clear and detailed images of the colon.  These images capture a variety of angles and the procedure itself has the benefit of being far quicker and more comfortable than a regular colonoscopy.  Colon cancer is one of the most deadly cancers, but it is also one of the most preventable.  CT Virtual colonoscopy seeks to detect abnormalities including pre-cancerous polyps, which then can be removed.

The test takes only 15 minutes and is minimally invasive.  Due to our advanced machinery, the images produced enable our radiologists to detect problems earlier and allow for more successful treatment options.  The CT virtual colonoscopy is often done on older patients and those with risk factors for colorectal cancers.
